Series 1: Viper :Chapter 2

Nightfall arrived and the cats were getting ready for the ceremony. Cream found a large rock to hop on top of. She yowled on top of the rock, her pelt gleamed in the moonlight. All the cats turned around to hear what Cream had to say. Cream nodded her head and began to speak, "It seems my kit, Viper, has a disease," she meowed, "Poison Fang." The cats' ears pricked, "Poison fang? mumbled voices from the crowd. Cream turned to Rose and Viper. "The young kit must leave this part of the forest. Gasps and murmurs broke out through the crowd. Rose stood up from her seat and turned to Cream, "Cream," she meowed, "If its alright with you, I would like to come with Viper." Cream flinched, "Come with him?" she meowed, "Are you insane?" Viper turned to Rose. "I don't care what you say, I'm coming with Viper." Cream stood up to protest, "And if you get the disease?" Rose remained calm, "I would rather die with my friend Viper, rather than die with no friends." Cream nodded her head shortly, still angry. "Then you two shall leave," she meowed, "now." Rose nodded and padded away from the rock with Viper by her side. Viper looked back, was this the last time he would see his family? Would he never see his mother again? His father? anyone? He shivered at the thought and shuffled over to Rose's side, "don't worry," she meowed, "You'll be safe with me." He licked her shoulder and leaned his head against it. She smiled, "Maybe we should rest now." Viper nodded in agreement and began to lay down. He curled up next to Rose and wrapped his tail around hers. She smiled and began to close her eyes. Viper was walking through his old home, walking and walking, till he saw A white young cat. He ran towards the cat and wrapped his neck around hers. "I love you," mewed the white cat. "And I love you too," he responded. Viper then felt the hot sun rising, as his eyes began to open, "Oh....just a dream," he sighed, blushing. Rose ran up to Viper, "Finally, your awake!" Viper nodded his head, "That dream," he mumbled staring at Rose. Rose looked puzzled, "What dream?" she asked. Viper blushed dark, "Oh....um....nothing....." Rose smiled and mewed, "Okay, we'll be on our way then." Viper nodded and jumped to his paws. The dark grey cat ran up next to Rose. They both ran on until they crossed a lake, "Why don't we stop for a drink," mewed Rose. Viper nodded and bounded over to the lake. Rose stood close to him, lapping up the water. Viper stared into the water to see a small heart forming next to him and Rose. Did the world want them together? How could I possibly be with her? She is so great and....Well I'm a wreck.......
